How to Turn Off a “Facebook account” ?

By Suhail Ahmad

Facebook allows you to turn off your account, either temporarily or permanently. Deactivating your account immediately hides your profile from all search results, but saves all associated data, including photos and business pages. This option allows you to reactivate your account and recover your data at any time. If you choose to delete your account, however, Facebook permanently removes your profile and all associated data from its servers. Follow the below step to complete Turn Off a Facebook Account

Deactivate Account

Step No 1

Click the drop-down arrow next to Home to view the available account options.

Step No 2

Click the “Account Settings” option to open the General Account Settings page.

Step No 3

Click the “Security” menu option to open the Security Settings page.

Step No 4

Click the “Deactivate Your Account” link to disable your account and hide your profile from other Facebook users.

Delete Account

Step No 1

Log in to Facebook using the account you want to delete.

Step No 2

Submit an account deletion request. (See Resources.)

Step No 3

Don’t log in to Facebook using the account you want to delete again. Facebook places all deletion requests in a pending status for a short time. Logging in to your account while the request is pending automatically cancels your request and reactivates your account.

We hope this article will contribute to an increased awareness of its existence.
